During your initial visit to our office, Dr. Rammo will sit down with you and discuss your dental concerns and goals. He will then proceed to create a customized dental treatment plan for your new smile. At that time, photos of your smile will also be taken and using the latest in Digital Smile Design technology, you’ll be able to see what your future smile will look like on screen before the treatment plan begins.
Using your Digital Smile Simulation, a 3D digital model of your new smile will be constructed and then made into temporary teeth to fit over your current teeth. With your temporary teeth in place, you’ll experience how it looks to smile, laugh and eat in real-time. During this phase, Dr. Rammo can also make adjustments until you feel completely comfortable in your new look prior to proceeding with the treatment.
With you new your new smile design in place, we will then proceed to completing any general dental work needed to get your teeth and gums in prime condition. Using our CEREC Same Day Smile Technology, Dr. Rammo will then create and apply your permanent porcelain veneers and/or crowns. From there, finishing touches will be made and then it’s time to share your new smile with the world!

The process of veneers will involve filing down part of the tooth which can involve a tingling sensation. This is done so that the veneers don’t feel too big once fitted to your teeth. Once your veneers are bonded to your natural teeth they will feel just like your natural teeth, taking up no extra room unless they are being used to elongate short teeth. They may take a little while to get used to but after the first week most patients feel no difference.
At our practice, we caters to anxious patients so that you can get a new smile no matter what. We offer a range of anaesthetic options including nitrous oxide and more. We also have offer a range of treatments that are ergonomically designed for anxious patients. Our laser technology is much less invasive than surgery using scalpels so many patients feel much more comfortable receiving this treatment.
A dental crown is a restorative treatment while veneers are cosmetic. You will require a dental crown when your tooth has been damaged significantly or possibly after receiving root canal therapy. A crown is used to strengthen the tooth so if your dentist deems that your tooth is too weak for a filling or for other means of repair then they will recommend a dental crown. Veneers will only be recommended for damaged teeth if the problems are cosmetic. For example if you have small chips at the very surface of your teeth then veneers may be right for you. Veneers can also conceal discolouration and other cosmetic imperfections.
Same day loading means that you will receive your permanent crown on the same day as your implant. This reduces the number of appointments you require.
Pain in your tooth does not automatically mean that you need a root canal. Dr Rammo will assess your condition and recommend the best solution. Most commonly you will require a fissure sealant or filling and a root canal will only be recommended if completely necessary. If you do experience pain it’s imperative that you book an urgent appointment. Call us at 02 9159 3764.
While there’s no fail-safe procedure that will ensure you keep all your teeth as you age you can improve your changes by regularly brushing your teeth, flossing and visiting the dentist. Dental hygiene is the only way to ensure that you maintain your teeth for as long as possible. If you have any questions about dental hygiene please read our blog or contact us.
If you have a dental emergency such as extreme pain or tooth loss then it’s important to remain calm. If you have knocked a tooth out please place it in the hollow of your cheek or in a glass of milk. Call our practice straight away to organise an emergency appointment. We leave time aside for these each day so we should be able to fit your emergency in. Call now on 02 9159 3764.
